SEE YOURSELF IN THE WORLD

HKBU

See Yourself in the World" Kaleidoscope Installation for Student Exchange Program.

When Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) sought to promote their student exchange program with the theme "Explore Various Perspectives of Yours," they envisioned an immersive experience that would inspire students to see themselves as global citizens.

To bring this vision to life, Eco Art designed and produced a captivating, large-scale kaleidoscope installation that embodied the message "To see yourself in the world." The interactive piece featured a dynamic blend of mirrors inside the kaleidoscope, reflecting the viewer’s image alongside vibrant, rotating visuals of destinations around the world—symbolizing the transformative journey of studying abroad.

The installation’s exterior was designed to be visually striking, drawing students in with its bold colors and intriguing structure, while the interior experience delivered a powerful metaphor: just as the kaleidoscope merges personal reflection with glimpses of the world, studying abroad expands one’s perspective and self-discovery.

Positioned at a high-traffic area on campus, the exhibit became a focal point for engagement, encouraging students to interact, take photos, and inquire about HKBU’s exchange opportunities.

The university praised the installation for its creativity and effectiveness in sparking curiosity about global learning experiences. "Eco Art perfectly captured our message in a way that was both artistic and meaningful—students couldn’t resist approaching it, and it became a conversation starter about cultural exchange," remarked an HKBU representative.

By combining interactive art with a profound message, this project not only elevated awareness of HKBU’s exchange program but also demonstrated Eco Art’s ability to turn abstract concepts into tangible, emotionally resonant experiences that move and inspire audiences.
